101 Maine Republicans are switching their support from Susan Collins to Sara Gideon this election.
As Election Day approaches, what’s at stake in this election is clear. Our country is facing a deadly pandemic, a crippling economic recession, and a series of long-standing crises that affect people across the state of Maine.
But as long as we have the same leaders in Washington, we will be unable to confront these challenges and make progress. We see the consequences of that leadership play out here in Maine and across the country — record levels of partisanship and polarization prevent us from coming together at this time of national crisis.
Our current politics are dividing Americans, pulling our country apart, and eroding our institutions. Never has it been more clear that Washington is broken, and that we need a change.
We are Republicans, and we believe in a better future for our state and our country. That’s why we’re voting for Sara Gideon for U.S. Senate in this election.
Sara has shown us what real leadership looks like. In the State House, she got rid of the aisle separating Democrats and Republicans, forcing legislators of different parties to interact with each other and find common ground and common purpose. On the campaign trail, she has traveled to every corner of the state, listening to Democrats, Republicans, and Independents alike about what they need from their representatives in Washington.
